India Platform Annual Report 2014-2015

The Seventh Annual Report of the India Platform [1] gives you an insight into the growing amount of activities that took place since 2014. The many testimonials account for the impact of what the India Platform does.

“It gives me great pleasure to say that the platform has grown stronger and, step by step, results have become more visible in the last one-and-a-half years. For example, we created several venues in Europe and India, where people can meet, discuss, stay over, and make plans for collaborations in an informal way. Thus we created a “home away from home” in Ujire, a “hub” for meetings in Bangalore, and a research-centre-cum-informal-meeting-place in Ghent. Further, we had meetings with Indian Central Government ministers and Asian diplomats and we reached out towards Gujarat, where we saw emerging interest in the India Platform. We created opportunities for interns and for retired professors who could stay and interact with Indian partners. We continued to develop our Euro-Indian projects in health care, liveable cities, school education and engineering, … We began to design the new international Masters in Comparative Science of Cultures: EurIndia Studies. Above all, the activities helped us to further develop the foundation upon which the India Platform vision is based – our research into cultural differences between Europe and India. “
