Economic Growth is the predominant premise for the conference. Sustainable innovation will not only take the planet (e.g. global warming or the depletion of raw materials) into consideration, but it places equal emphasis on profit (the economy) and the social dimension people as well. In other words, an innovative solution is only sustainable if it is also affordable, so that it can be made widely available. Solutions of this type will encourage growth, as they will attract private funding and are not dependent on public resources. The conference’s theme is therefore “Growth and Sustainability”.
