University of Groningen seminar on new cooperations between RUG departments and Indian counterparts

On 7 April 2015, the University of Groningen organised an internal seminar, to exchange information and set up new cooperation. RUG staff were invited to
inform the audience on their cooperation with Indian counterparts. Professor Poppema opened the event. Mr. Ajay Chandgude, PhD student Drug Design (M&NS, Pharmacy), delivered a talk on student experience in Groningen. Other topics were:

• Academic Exchanges between the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FWN) and India, Prof. Tamalika Banerjee (M&NS)
• India and the Centre for the Study of Religion & Culture in Asia, Dr. Peter Berger (Th&RS)
• Research on Indo-Dutch Relations, Dr. Anjana Singh (Arts)
• Research cooperation on public health research, Dr. Ajay Bailey (Spatial Sciences)
• Experiences with India from the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Department, Dr. Harry Reintsema (UMCG)
• Cooperation with ISI, Prof. Rineke Verbrugge (M&NS)
• Presentation of the objectives and activities of the India Platform by Dr. Jakob de Roover and Mrs. Nele de Gersem (India Platform)
• Joint (Indian) dinner.
