Asian companies buy Western companies and become their employers; the West has a shortage of highly-skilled youngsters while Asia has plenty of them; the welfare of the people in the West is decreasing while in Asia it seems to increase… Two Indians will give their vision on these developments: Prof. Balu will speak about “Collaboration with India in the 21st Century: A Vision” and Dr. Shankara Prasad about “India is Booming: What About the Villages?”

Could we not understand globalization in a different way? Can we not augment our mutual knowledge and understanding and increase our capacities to collaborate for the world of the 21st century? What if we could understand globalization in such a way that it helps both Europe and India grow and flourish? What if globalization is not a matter of competition, jealousy or resentment; but a matter of collaboration? In that case we can make it work for the people!
