Prof. Dr. Jakob De Roover and members of the Comparative Science of Cultures research group in India interacted with students at BMS College of Engineering in Bangalore. The discussion was held on the 16th of January as part of the National Youth Week, organised by the NSS wing in commemoration of the birthday of Swami Vivekananda. Prof. Dr. De Roover addressed the students, giving them an introduction to the research framework of Comparative Science of Cultures. This was followed by a discussion between the audience and members of the research group. Students were engaged, enthusiastic and discomforted all at once – a good beginning for raising questions and engaging with radically different ideas presented by the research group. We are confident that this interaction will lead to many interesting discussions and workshops with BMS students in the future. A big thanks to the NSS wing of BMSCE, and Mrs. Archana Kallahalla, India Platform coordinator, BMS, for organising the event!
