Flemish India Platform – Creating a network and a policy framework for collaboration between Flanders and India in the 21st century (Vlaams India Platform, VIP)

DSC_0011In March 2014, the Flemish Prime Minister, Mr. Kris Peeters, approved a project called “Incubation Phase for a Flemish India Platform”. It involves the expansion of the India Platform network in Flanders to all potentially interested companies, educational institutions and government structures. The India Platform committed itself to creating conditions for win-win collaborations between Flemish and Indian partners.

(1) to create an accessible network and database for every player involved
(2) to create a policy framework for collaboration with 21st century India. The focus themes of the project are:

Horizontally:
– Innovation
– Greying of the Flemish population

Vertically:
– Bioscience engineering
– Urban development, architecture, infrastructure
– Social sciences
– School education
– Medicine and health sciences
