Announcement by an IP stakeholder: University of Groningen-Manipal University: Winter school and International seminar at Manipal, India

The Faculty of Spatial Sciences, University of Groningen (UoG) and Public Health Evidence South Asia, Manipal University are organising two key events this December: the Winter school on ‘Embedding Qualitative Research in Health Sciences’  from 5th to 9th December and the International seminar on ‘Gendering Qualitative Methods: People, Power and Place’ from 12-13th December, 2016. Please find attached the flyers and the programme.

On the 12th December 2016 the Vice Chancellor of Manipal University Prof. Dr. Vinod Bhat will inaugurate the ‘Transdisciplinary Center for Qualitative Methods’ a joint initiative between the Faculty of Spatial Sciences, UoG and Manipal University. The center aims to educate, facilitate and promote transdisciplinary research for a comprehensive understanding of the issues pertaining to public health, ageing and social inequalities. We hope this center will act as a regional hub for research and capacity building for qualitative methods in South Asia.

We invite you to join us in this new initiative and look forward to your continued support for our research and training activities in India.
